Welcome to Mrs. Dewberry's site

Welcome to Ms. Dewberry's Class! A little information about my professional credentials would include that I have four degrees, all rooted in education and over ten years of experience in the field in a variety of capacities, but primarily as a classroom teacher. I am well- versed in the subject of adolescence, having had an extensive amount of educational and work experience focused in the middle grades arena. I also understand the importance of being a parent being that I'm a parent to my own. I know the value each of your children carry, and vow to treat them with the same love and respect as I would hope my own children receive in my absence.   I am looking forward to having a wonderful year with each and every one of my parents and students. I will try to keep my site updated so that any assignments or information students need can be reinforced at any time.

About your teacher:

Dear Parent/ Guardian/Student:

Welcome to a brand new and very significant school year. I have the pleasure of teaching your wonderful students, and am excited about the future of our school year.  I believe that we all (parent, student, and teacher) play a critical role in the success of our children, and welcome the involvement of parents and guardians in the educational process. This year students will have several important projects and assessments, but the primary focus will be the 8th grade Georgia Milestone. Several significant concepts and project- based assignments (including S.S. Fair) will play a major role in the curriculum as well. There will be more details available as the mid-semester dates approach. Below you will find a list of suggested reading and classroom supplies students will need to be successful this school year! Thank you again for all your support and I truly look forward to participating in your child's success!
